Overview: About the Customer

These products are primarily sold under the brands of their customers, serving the needs of institutional commercial kitchens through partnerships with wholesalers. LEPO does not engage in direct sales to retail stores or end-users, maintaining a B2B-focused distribution model. The company emphasizes:

  • Close collaboration with clients
  • A focus on gastronomic trends and nutritional needs
  • Competitive pricing and on-time delivery
  • A flat organizational structure for fast, flexible decision-making

This approach has positioned LEPO as a reliable and innovative partner in the Nordic food industry.

The Challenge: ERP Limitations and Integration Gaps

As LEPO’s business evolved, they encountered key technical and operational challenges with their ERP system (e-conomic):

  1. Order and Invoice Integration: LEPO needed seamless, automated order and invoice exchange with their trading partners. Manual processing was time-consuming and prone to errors.
  2. Sales Price Storage: The e-conomic ERP system lacked the functionality to store sales prices as required, causing inconsistencies in document processing.
  3. GLN-Based Invoice Delivery: The system did not support sending invoices using GLN (Global Location Number), which was mandatory for LEPO’s trading partner communications.

These gaps hindered LEPO’s ability to scale document workflows and ensure reliable, accurate communication with partners.

The Solution: Seamless ERP Integration

To solve these challenges, HubBroker implemented a custom integration between e-conomic ERP and LEPO’s trading partners using our HubApps platform.

✅ ERP Integration with HubApps:

  • Order Automation: Orders from trading partners are now automatically imported into LEPO’s e-conomic ERP system.
  • Invoice Distribution: Invoices generated within e-conomic are automatically sent to trading partners, eliminating manual transmission.
  • Real-Time Exchange: All electronic documents are exchanged securely and efficiently in near real-time.

✅ GLN Number Support:

Since e-conomic doesn’t natively support GLN-based sending, we built a custom solution to allow invoice delivery via GLN, ensuring compliance with the partner’s system requirements.

✅ Sales Price Storage Fix:

We also addressed the issue with storing sales prices in the e-conomic ERP by overcoming limitations in the REST API, enabling accurate pricing data to be stored and referenced correctly during document generation.

Technology Used

  • e-conomic ERP
  • HubApps Integration Platform by HubBroker
  • Custom REST API enhancements
  • GLN-based communication support

This combination allowed for a fully automated, resilient document processing flow between LEPO and its trading partners.

The Results: Improved Efficiency & Accuracy

The integration delivered several key outcomes:

🚀 Increased Operational Efficiency:

Manual processes were eliminated, reducing the risk of human error and allowing LEPO to process orders and invoices faster than ever before.

📄 Error-Free Document Exchange:

LEPO now receives and sends fully compliant electronic business documents, with improved accuracy in data mapping, order capture, and invoice creation.

🔐 Partner Compliance Achieved:

By enabling GLN-based invoice delivery, LEPO maintained strong compliance with their trading partner’s requirements—ensuring uninterrupted B2B transactions.

📊 Better Data Management:

Sales pricing is now stored correctly in the system, enabling consistent and reliable document generation, reporting, and financial operations.

Conclusion: Future-Ready Digital Operations

Through its partnership with HubBroker, LEPO A/S has modernized its document processing infrastructure and eliminated key limitations within the e-conomic ERP system.

This custom ERP integration has:
