Overview

Greece has been digitising tax reporting for several years through myDATA, the platform of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). Businesses already send invoice data to myDATA, which has given the tax authority a detailed view of transactions and helped to reduce the VAT gap.

The B2B e-invoicing mandate takes this one step further. Instead of reporting invoice data separately, businesses issue structured e-invoices through certified e-invoicing providers, which send the data to myDATA automatically. This combines invoice exchange and tax reporting in one flow. The rollout is phased by size during 2026. Public-sector e-invoicing is already mandatory, so many Greek businesses have some experience with structured invoicing.

Who must comply

The mandate covers businesses established in Greece, for domestic B2B transactions. Larger businesses, above a turnover threshold, were the first phase, and the remaining businesses follow later in 2026.

Suppliers to Greek public bodies must already send e-invoices. Foreign businesses with Greek VAT registrations should check how the rules apply to their transactions in Greece.

Requirements

In-scope businesses must issue B2B invoices through a certified e-invoicing provider. The provider transmits invoice data to myDATA and assigns the required identifiers, including a unique registration number (MARK) and a QR code on the invoice.

Businesses must also make sure that the invoice data in their ERP is complete and matches the myDATA requirements, including the correct classification of income and expenses. Received invoices must be classified and reconciled in myDATA.

Formats and infrastructure

B2B invoices are exchanged through certified providers using formats that meet the myDATA specification. Public-sector invoices use the Greek specification of Peppol BIS Billing 3.0.

The infrastructure combines certified e-invoicing providers with the central myDATA platform. Providers handle the exchange between businesses and report the data to AADE, while public-sector invoices can be sent over Peppol.

How HubBroker can help

HubBroker connects your ERP to Greek e-invoicing channels. We map your invoice data to the required format, add the data needed for myDATA reporting, and validate every invoice before sending. Inbound invoices arrive in your ERP as structured data, ready to post.

HubBroker's IDP converts PDF invoices from suppliers that are not yet on e-invoicing. For international groups with Greek entities, Greek invoicing can run from your existing ERP alongside your other European einvoicing flows.
