What is a transformation?

Transformation – typically in the form of EDI – is an established method of transferring transaction data such as price lists, orders, stock status, order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices, and credit notes between business partners.

HubBroker’s transformation functionality allows you to meet the format requirements that your trading partners need to define and claim as part of your trade agreement.

In our pre-defined adapter directory, you will find predefined transformation scripts to support the transformation of input data into output data.

It is also possible through our user-friendly mapping tool to define the data from the input file that you want transformed to the output format.

What is EDI?

EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange and means “electronic data exchange”.

Typically, data companies exchange in business documents are:

  • Price lists
  • Orders
  • Order Confirmations
  • Packing Slips
  • Product Catalogs
  • Inventory Status Information
  • Invoices
  • Credit notes

What formats do HubBroker support?

There are many EDI standards for document types and formats. Some of the most common are XML, EDIFACT, X12, and OIOUBL (NemHandel).

Standards have different dependencies depending on industry and geography. HubBroker supports all types of formats in Denmark, Nordics and on requests.

Below are the formats HubBroker – by default – supports:

  • cXML
  • EHF
  • Finvoice
  • X12

But it can also be all sorts of other types of documents. There are thousands of EDI standard documents covering everything from medical prescriptions to bank statements.

If there is no standard document that meets your needs, you can define your own document types.
